Henry Gray  was the son of Abel  Moore & Mary Gray. Abel was born in Thornford in 1770. He married Mary Ryall on December 26th 1792 and they had 2 children James Moore & Edmond Moore. Mary Ryall died October 17th 1798. Abel  then married Sarah Hannam on December 19th  1801  in Thornford and they had a further 3 children, Abel Moore Jnr, Arthur Moore, & William Moore. Sarah Hannam died March 19th 1809 Leaving Abel with 5 children. He Then lived with his Niece Mary Gray and they had a further 11 Children making 16 in all Thomas Gray, Issac Gray, Henry Gray, Susannah Gray, Job Gray, Mary Anne Gray, Silas Gray, Anne Gray, Eliza Gray, James Gray, & Elizabeth Gray.Thomas & Issac both married and had large families and all emigrated to Australia. Job died as an infant and Elizabeth died in a house fire aged 16 in 1845. Abel died on the 24th April 1859 of Old age aged 90. Mary Gray died 28th February 1869 of old age aged 83. Both died in Thornford.
